About Texas Medical Center Innovation Institute:
TMC Innovation Institute is located in the largest medical center in the country with over $2B in extramural funding and ~10M patient visits per year across 21 renowned hospitals and the 10 associated academic institutions. We are comprised of the TMCx accelerator program, TMCx+ incubator, TMC Biodesign fellowship program, and our resident corporate partner relationships with J&J, AT&T, and Apple.

TMCx is a four-month accelerator program for digital health startups. It is no cost to the companies who participate, and no equity is taken. TMCx lowers barriers of access to the world’s largest medical center, allowing startups to leverage our expansive network of advisors from the 21 Texas Medical Center hospitals and our tailored curriculum to clinically validate and find product market fit for their solutions. The next class starts February 2019.

TMC Biodesign is a one-year paid entrepreneurial innovation fellowship program where two interdisciplinary teams work together to identify unmet needs and create a company around a solution. Our fellows come from all backgrounds (engineering, medicine, business, design, computer science, and research) and are immersed in the clinical experience – uncovering, analyzing and prioritizing needs before exploring and implementing potential solutions. There are two tracks per year: medical device and digital health. Each track is paired with a highly-tailored curriculum and mentorship to both teams as they develop solutions. The next cohort starts July 2019.
