Lesniewski-Laas also designed, built, and deployed medical devices for clinical research in hospital environments, such as electrical stimulators to enhance upper limb rehabilitation for patients recovering from a stroke.

Prior to the Wyss Institute, Lesniewski-Laas was a Control Systems Engineer at Varian Semiconductor where he worked on several notable projects including a portable monitoring system and a high voltage grounding system for next-generation, high-energy ion implanters. His success at Varian Semiconductor led him to earn several engineering excellence awards.

"Sunrise Labs embodies everything I've always wanted to be a part of as they have a great history of providing innovative and successful solutions for their clients that are evolving the healthcare landscape," said Nicholas Lesniewski-Laas. "I look forward to engaging with the team to support the increasing project demands."
