Eric Soederberg


Eric is the President and CEO of Sunrise Labs Inc., a 50+ person medical product development firm focused on bringing its client’s visions to market. Since joining Sunrise seven years ago, Eric has doubled the team and tripled the sales while maintaining a strong culture around engineering excellence and customer commitment. By setting high technical and ethical standards, Eric maintains a highly regarded, very capable team who thrive on challenging work that redefines the standard of care. 

Prior to joining Sunrise Labs, Eric was Executive Director of Programs for medical device manufacturer KMC Systems.  

In a previous role at DEKA Research and Development, Eric led the development of the world’s first iBOT™ Mobility System from research concept all the way to market. The iBOT™, a Class III medical device, allows people with motor disabilities to climb stairs, stand up, climb curbs and traverse all terrains. 

Prior to this, Eric led the development of Cellular Telephone Infrastructure for Motorola. Eric says, “I love working with innovators who are charged-up about developing a new device that will redefine the current standard of care, and in the process make the world a better place.” Eric holds multiple patents in medical device technologies.

Eric earned a MSEE from MIT and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management. He earned his BSEE at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
