Medical Embedded Systems Software Engineer

Sunrise is growing to take on new, exciting product development efforts for our medical and industrial clients. We are on the lookout for experienced Embedded Systems Programmers.

We’re looking for:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in developing code for embedded systems
  • Deep C or C++skills; Hierarchical State Chart experience a plus
  • Embedded Linux applications and driver experience is a plus
  • Wireless protocol experience such as Zigbee, 802.11x, Bluetooth is a plus
  • Medical device experience is a plus
  • BSEE or BSCS required; MSEE or MSCS preferred
You should be familiar with:
  • Micro controllers including PICs, dsPICs, ARM7, ARM9 processors
  • Common communications protocols I2C, SPI, and USB
  • State machines, RTOS, and time slice methods
  • Closed loop control, PID, digital filters, and PLL
  • Numeric representation, and dynamic range and error analysis
You would pop to the top of our candidate list if you have experience with:
  • Patient safety risk analysis and mitigation methods
  • Cybersecurity risk analysis
  • Signal processing and creative solutions to challenges such as classification and feature extraction
  • Safety architectures
  • Tools and techniques required for medical devices with IEC62304 software safety class c or similar automotive or military standards
